The Vegas-n-more blog is coming along slowly but surely. I have the site up and hosted by WestHost.com. I ordered a couple of books on Word Press and have start pouring through them. The two books are WordPress Complete and WordPress 2.
Since purchasing the books I have been able to start making some regular posts and I am been able to start manipulating the appearance of the site. My next task is to start publicizing the site so that others beside my friends and family can find this blog. I’ll be back…

Couples who were married at the Garden of Love Wedding may want to check and see if there marriage is still valid. I was channel surfing last night when I came across a report on some “celebrity entertainment” show that said that said a large number of weddings performed at the Chapel of Love may be null an void. Apparently Chapel of Love employees were forging witness signatures onto wedding licenses.
The wedding business has become so competitive over the past several years that the competing chapels will say and do “almost” anything to get couples married in their chapel.
It has gotten so bad that ministers from competing chapels were actually ordered to be placed under arrest by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman. Goodman had them brought to his office where he read them their rights.
Apparently couples are testifying at hearings in the city council chambers about heavy hand techniques to get them into the chapels. My wife and I were married at the Monte Carlo in Vegas and we remember having to run the gauntlet of wedding chapel recruiters when we went to the Clark County Clerk’s office for our marriage license.
After hearings at the City Council, The Garden of Love’s tactics were deemed to be so aggressive that last week the city of Las Vegas decided to revoke the wedding chapel’s license. The owners are in the process of appealing the decision. In the meantime, if you were married at the Garden of Love you may want find out if you are indeed legal hitched.

I’m about to head off to my stock club meeting tonight and I may just have to bring up taking a look at the stocks of Las Vegas Casinos that are creating the “Asian” Las Vegas in Macau.
A cube mate of mine at work has been telling me about Macau and how Steve Wynn was planning on building a super sized replica of the Wynn Hotel in Macau.
I read a report today from the Canada’s Financial Post that indicates investors are bullish on the Las Vegas Casinos involved in the development of Macau.
I’m not a gambler when it comes to investing, but if I were it looks like Macau may be a good bet.

Looks like the DA is really going after OJ in Vegas.
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that two more defendants are pleading to reduced charges.
OJ may have gotten away with murder in LA, but it is becoming apparent that the prosecutors in Las Vegas are determined to not let him get away with armed robbery.
I think prosecutors are looking for a way to lock OJ up for as long as possible. For all practical purposes he confessed to murder in his recently published If I did It book.
Does OJ just think he is untouchable? He has gotten away with all kinds of poor behavior, including murder, all of his life. Why not armed robbery?
This time around it looks like the glove is going to fit.
