Monte Carlo is Closed After Fire: What Now?
January 29th, 2008 . by Robb CheuvrontClark County building officials say the Monte Carlo must remain closed until the burned facade on the upper floors is either secured or removed.
High winds today prevented work from proceeding on the outside of the building. Now guests who have up coming reservations may be asking…. What happens now? Where do I stay? Will I have a room in Las Vegas?
The Monte Carlo has posted answerers to these questions on their web site in the form of an FAQ.
In a letter to guests, Monte Carlo President Anton Nickodemus says that the hotel will do every thing they can to provide guests with alternate accommodations at other MGM properties. He also says the due to the circumstances of the closing, they can’t guarantee quests will have reservations.
Weddings will be moved to chapels at other MGM properties and all restaurants, and shows such as Lance Burton are closed until further notice.
